The Blog Workshop this week was really interesting. We had great fun learning about Ancient Egyptian mummies and we also made our own mummies online which was a bit disgusting! (Extracting brains and organs!!)
*Don’t forget to colour your Pharaoah Mask and hand it in at your library so that we can include it here!
See you at the next Blog Workshop on the 25th and 26th February.
The next session of The Blog will be about Ancient Egypt and Mummies!!!
So get your invitations and come along to explore some fascinating sites (websites!)
The dates are: 28th January - Monte Alto Library at 7.00p.m.
29th January - Castrillón Library at 7.00p.m.
It’s Winter and the cold weather has arrived bringing snow to many places. Galicia has been severely affected but not as much as the UK which is really suffering the consequences of the snow. Schools, shops, stations and airports were closed and travelling was almost impossible in some areas. However, many children (and adults) love playing in the snow and make the most of this opportunity to take photos, make snowmen and have fun!
Watch the “Snow Show” on The Blog television.

Have you been good?
Will you get presents or coal?
Today these questions will be answered for many Spainsh children who will wake up to see what the Three Kings have left them…
For many it is the most exciting and magical time of the year.
Have a wonderful day!
But remember that in other countries children have to go to school

Today is the last day of the year and we say goodbye to 2009. Here are some images of memorable moments of the year 2009. Send in your favourite moments of 2009 and we will include them in our 2009 Picture Album.
Students at a school in England have been given an iPod to help them in their lessons. Students are able to use the iPods as calculators, dictionaries and to look up information. They can also send their homework to their teachers via email.

Dear Santa Claus: My Christmas wish list is…
But what is a “wish list” ?
A “wish” is a “deseo” in Spanish and these lists are made by children and adults to write what they wish for Christmas.
So what do YOU wish for this Christmas? Remember, a wish can be anything, not just presents!
Send your wish to The Blog Wish List in a comment.

Today is the 1st of December and many children open the first window of their Advent calendar. An Advent calendar makes the countdown to Christmas fun as each window has a little surprise!
Here on The Blog you can click on this Advent Calendar to learn about Christmas around the world, but remember you can only click one day at a time.
Our next Blog Workshop will be on Thursday 17th December at Monte Alto Library and Friday 18th Decemeber at Castrillón Library at 7.oo p.m.
We hope to see you there to celebrate Christmas Around The World!
