If you have a Sony PSP games console, you can “Play English” with this game. The game’s central character is Jaime Rubio (James Blond), a Spanish detective, who has to solve an international mystery and needs to learn English to get information from the suspects. It’s fun but REMEMBER, this is NO SUBSTITUTE for learning ENGLISH at SCHOOL!

The Notting Hill Carnival in London is the biggest *street festival in Europe and it is held every year on the August *Bank Holiday which is at the end of August. It is a wonderful celebration of Afro-Caribbean culture and it fills the streets of Notting Hill in West London with colour and music. The *costumes are amazing and the participants spend all year preparing for this event. People come from around the world to enjoy this Carnival and the multi-cultural atmosphere that is so special to London.

The 25th July is the feast day of the patron saint of Spain, Saint James (Santiago) His remains are said to be buried in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and people from all over the world make pilgrimages to this wonderful, historic city.

When the 25th July falls on a Sunday it is declared a Jubilee Year (Ano Xacobeo) as it is this year, and the city is full of people visiting and enjoying the special celebrations.
